1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use software products and services provided by SolvXYZ through SolvXYZ. It is designed to:

  • Protect intellectual property rights
  • Prevent software piracy and unauthorized distribution
  • Maintain platform security and integrity
  • Ensure fair use for all customers
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

This policy applies to:

  • All digital services and tools
  • All user accounts and associated activities
  • All documentation and support materials

2. Prohibited Activities

You MUST NOT
  • Redistribute Software: Share, upload, or redistribute software without authorization
  • Unauthorized Sublicense: Grant license rights to others beyond your scope
  • Reverse Engineering: Decompile, disassemble, or extract source code
  • Modify or Patch: Alter the software without explicit permission
  • Remove Protections: Circumvent licensing, activation, or copy protection mechanisms
  • Use License Keys Illegally: Share license keys with unauthorized users
  • Resale Without Rights: Resell or relicense the software
  • Commercial Misuse: Use personal licenses for business without a commercial license

3. Software Piracy Prevention

We take software piracy seriously. Unauthorized use, distribution, or reproduction of our software violates intellectual property laws and this policy.

License Key Protection
  • Personal: Your license key is unique to your purchase and tied to your account
  • Non-Transferable: License keys cannot be transferred to other users
  • Confidential: Treat your license key like a password - never share it
  • Activation Limit: Each license key has an activation limit (typically 2-3 devices)
  • Verification: We verify license validity during activation and use
Detection Methods

We employ multiple methods to detect piracy:

  • License verification on activation
  • Usage analytics and pattern detection
  • Hardware fingerprinting (optional)
  • Community reporting mechanisms
  • Unauthorized distribution monitoring
What Happens If Piracy Is Detected
  • Software may be disabled or locked
  • License may be revoked
  • Account may be suspended

4. Security & Safety

System Security

You agree not to:

  • Use software to attack or harm systems
  • Intentionally transmit viruses or malware
  • Perform unauthorized testing on systems
  • Gain unauthorized access to resources
  • Interfere with network operations
Data Protection
  • You are responsible for data security
  • Do not store sensitive data in unsecured locations
  • Use strong passwords and two-factor authentication
  • Report security breaches immediately
  • Comply with data protection laws
Abuse Prevention
  • Do not exploit software bugs for unauthorized benefits
  • Report security vulnerabilities responsibly
  • Do not attempt to bypass licensing mechanisms
  • Do not use software for harassment or threats
  • Do not spam or abuse support services

5. Licensing Compliance

What You CAN Do
  • ✓ Use software for intended personal/commercial purposes
  • ✓ Install on devices covered by your license
  • ✓ Create backups for personal use
  • ✓ Use software updates and patches
  • ✓ Request support and assistance
  • ✓ Use for personal or business projects (with commercial license)
Commercial vs. Personal Use
  • Personal License: Individual use only, non-commercial projects
  • Commercial License: Business use, client projects, resale of deliverables (but not software)
  • Team License: Multiple users within your organization
  • Uplift Rights: Some licenses allow upgrading to commercial use
Multi-Device Usage
  • Most licenses allow 2-3 device installations
  • Devices must be yours or under your control
  • Sharing with family members is typically allowed
  • Sharing with unrelated users is NOT allowed
  • Check your specific license for device limits

6. Monitoring & Enforcement

How We Monitor
  • License activation and validation
  • Usage patterns and analytics
  • Community reports and feedback
  • Automated piracy detection systems
  • Support ticket analysis
  • Web monitoring for unauthorized distribution
Investigation Process

If violations are suspected:

  • We will investigate the alleged violation
  • You may be contacted for clarification
  • We will gather evidence and documentation
  • If confirmed, enforcement action will be taken
  • You have the right to appeal (within 30 days)
Responsible Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability or piracy:

  • Report immediately to contact@solvxyz.com
  • Provide detailed information about the issue
  • Do not publicly disclose until fixed
  • Cooperate with our investigation

7. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this policy may result in:

First Offense
  • Warning notice
  • Opportunity to remedy within 7 days
  • License suspension (pending cure)
Second Offense
  • License revocation without refund
  • Account suspension for 30-90 days
  • May be required to repurchase (if reinstated)
Severe/Persistent Violations
  • Permanent account termination
  • All licenses revoked without refund
  • Blocked from future purchases
  • Legal action (civil or criminal)
  • Report to law enforcement if applicable
Appeal Process
  • You have 30 days to appeal any enforcement action
  • Submit appeal with evidence supporting your case
  • Independent review will be conducted
  • Decision will be communicated within 14 days

8. Report Violations

If you suspect a violation of this policy:

Copyright & Piracy Reports

To report copyright infringement or suspected piracy:

  • Include specific URLs or download links
  • Describe how content is being misused
  • Provide proof of your ownership/license
  • Include your contact information
  • Sign your report (physical or digital)
Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Continued use of our software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify users of major changes via email.
